For 2014 this is a TWO DAY, TEAM event!
Saturday and Sunday, Feb 15-16, 2014
Early packet pickup is from noon-630pm Friday at The Back Porch
Day of packet pickup is from 7-8am Sat at The Back Porch
Saturday- first team start 830am @ The Back Porch
Sunday- first team start 8am @ Tops'l Beach Resort
Locations: Sat- The Back Porch Restaurant in Destin, FL
Sun- Tops'l Beach and Racquet Resort in Sandestin, FL (parking instructions will be included in team package)
Categories: 4 person team (must contain at least 1 female)
Day 1: Team events scored for time. Events will be based on Crossfit movements/workouts. Some movements may be scaled if a member is unable to complete it, but your team will receive a time penalty. At the end of Day 1, teams will be ranked by total time to complete all workouts.
Day 2: Teams will complete a 50K (31 mile) beach run as a relay. The team with the lowest combined time from day 1 will start first. Each team after will start at timed intervals based on their standings from day 1. The first team to finish the relay, is the overall winner.
Day 2 relay details: The 6 team legs are run between aid stations and are lengths of 5.6, 5.4, 5, 5, 5.4, and 4.6 miles; you have the opportunity to switch runners at each of these aid stations. Your team members can divide the legs among your members however you want, but each team member must run at least one leg. The single team bib must be carried /worn by the running member at all time. Team must provide their own transportation to/from aid stations.

-Exact day 1 course & events designed by experienced/certified CrossFit trainers & will not be revealed until the day of the event
-Back Porch kitchen will open for spectators at 1100 (get a seat on the deck to see all the action while you eat!)
Cost: $300 for all military team (active duty and/or veterans), $350 for non-military team. Registration closes on 11 Feb. **NO registration after 11 Feb- NO day of registration!**

-Entry includes 4-custom Son of a Beach gifts, 4-long sleeve Under Armour Destin Ultra shirts, 4-Destin Ultra medals for finishers, fully stocked ultra aid stations on day 2, scoring, awards for top teams, and post-event party, drinks, and concert on the Tops'l pool deck.
